Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Protein

In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, honey, black pepper, and salt. Whisk until well blended.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Chicken or Beef

Add the chicken breast or beef steak to the marinade, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.

  3. 3

    Chop Vegetables (if using)

While the protein is marinating, chop the vegetables into bite-sized pieces.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or grill pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

  2. 5

    Cook the Protein

Remove the chicken or beef from the marinade, letting excess marinade drip off. Place in the hot skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes per side for chicken, or 4-5 minutes per side for beef, or until cooked through.

  3. 6

    Sauté Vegetables (if using)

In the same skillet, add the chopped vegetables and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they are tender. You can add a little more oil if needed.

  4. 7

    Serve

Remove the protein and vegetables from the heat. Let the protein rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with the sautéed vegetables.
