Prepare the Meatball Mixture
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.

Form the Meatballs
Using your hands, form the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Cook the Meatballs
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and browned.

Prepare the Spicy Marinara Sauce
In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add crushed tomatoes, minced red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 15 minutes.

Combine and Serve
Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the spicy marinara sauce. Serve with ciabatta bread and a sprinkle of freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano on top.
