Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patty

In a bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and form them into burger patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium, or until they reach your desired doneness.

  2. 4

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the grill or skillet to melt the cheese.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, place the cooked burger patty with melted cheese. Top with pulled pork, generous amounts of BBQ sauce, and onion strings. Cover with the top half of the bun.
