Prepare the Jalapeños
If using fresh jalapeños, slice them into thin rings. If using canned jalapeños, drain and set aside.

Prepare the Cheese
Grate or shred the cheese if not pre-shredded, and set aside.
Assembly

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Layer the Tortilla Chips
Spread the tortilla chips evenly on a large baking sheet or oven-safe platter.

Add Cheese and Jalapeños
Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the tortilla chips, followed by the sliced jalapeños. Ensure even coverage.

Drizzle with Olive Oil
Drizzle the olive oil over the top of the nachos for added flavor and to help melt the cheese.
Baking

Bake the Nachos
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve with Sour Cream
Remove the nachos from the oven and let them cool slightly. Top with dollops of sour cream and garnish with fresh cilantro if desired. Serve immediately.
