In a large mixing bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until mostly smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.

With your hands, form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.

Toast the whole wheat burger buns in the oven or on a skillet until lightly browned.

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a large bowl, toss the cut potatoes with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
