Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. While the grill is heating, rub the chicken breasts with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Make sure the chicken is evenly coated.
Grilling
- 2
Grill the Chicken
Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the grill. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). About 2 minutes before removing the chicken from the grill, brush both sides with BBQ sauce.
Assembly
- 3
Toast the Buns
While the chicken is grilling, slice the hamburger buns in half and lightly toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- 4
Assemble the Sandwich
Once the chicken is cooked and the buns are toasted, place a grilled chicken breast on the bottom half of each bun. Top with additional BBQ sauce, coleslaw, and pickles if desired. Place the top half of the bun on each sandwich.
