Burger Patty

Toppings

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 1 inch thick.

Cook the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 400°F or 190°C to 200°C).

  2. 4

    Grill the Patties

Place the burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese (Optional)

If using cheddar cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking. Close the grill lid to melt the cheese.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Prepare the Buns

While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, cut side down.

  2. 7

    Add BBQ Sauce

Spread BBQ sauce generously on the bottom half of each toasted bun.

  3. 8

    Layer the Ingredients

Place the cooked burger patty on top of the BBQ sauce. Add onion rings, lettuce, and tomato slices if desired.

  4. 9

    Complete the Burger

Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
