Bread Pudding

Method

Bread Pudding Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread Pudding

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Tear the stale bread into bite-sized pieces and place in the baking dish.

  2. 2

In a saucepan, heat the milk and heavy cream over medium heat until warm. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped white chocolate until melted and smooth.

  3. 3

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually whisk in the warm chocolate mixture until well combined.

  4. 4

Pour the egg mixture over the bread and gently press down to ensure the bread is soaked. Fold in the blueberries.

  5. 5

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown on top.

Praline Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Make the Praline Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, heavy cream, and butter. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil.

  2. 7

Reduce heat and let simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.

  3. 8

Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and chopped pecans. Let cool slightly before serving.
