Method

Preparing the Ingredients

  1. 1

    Clean the Shrimp

Rinse the shrimp under cold water, then peel and devein them. Pat dry with paper towels and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the scallions, separating the green tops from the white bottoms. Dice the tomatoes and set aside.

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 3

    Boil the Pasta

In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the vermicelli pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Making the Garlic-Herb Butter Sauce

  1. 4

    Melt the Butter

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until bubbly but not browned.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic

Add minced garlic cloves to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. 6

    Mix in Herbs and Seasonings

Add chopped parsley, basil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

Combining Everything

  1. 7

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the cleaned shrimp to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until they turn pink and opaque.

  2. 8

    Add Tomatoes and Scallions

Stir in the diced tomatoes and white parts of the scallions. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.

  3. 9

    Combine with Pasta

Add the drained vermicelli pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.

  4. 10

    Serve

Garnish with the green tops of the scallions. Serve immediately while hot.
