Method

Preparing the Fries

  1. 1

    Cutting the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to create fries.

  2. 2

    Soaking the Potatoes

Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 3

    Heating the Oil

In a large pot, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Make sure to use a thermometer for accuracy.

  4. 4

    Frying the Potatoes

Carefully add the soaked potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  5. 5

    Draining the Fries

Remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Season with salt immediately.

Assembling the Asada Fries

  1. 6

    Layering the Ingredients

On a large serving plate, spread the hot fries evenly.

  2. 7

    Adding the Toppings

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the fries, followed by the cooked carne asada.

  3. 8

    Finishing Touches

Top with dollops of guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream.

  4. 9

    Serving

Serve immediately while hot, and enjoy your delicious Asada Fries!
