Prepare the Bacon
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood-smoked bacon until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

Toast the Bread
While the bacon is cooking, toast the slices of white bread until golden brown.

Prepare the Vegetables
Wash and dry the romaine lettuce. Slice the tomatoes into thin rounds.

Assemble the Sandwich
Spread a generous layer of mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted bread. Layer with lettuce, tomato slices, and crispy bacon. Top with another slice of bread, mayonnaise side down. Repeat for the second sandwich.

Serve
Cut each sandwich in half diagonally and serve with a side of potato chips.
