Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Bucatini

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bucatini and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil together. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes or until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 3

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

  4. 4

    Add Wine and Lemon

Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, scraping any bits from the bottom of the skillet. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the liquid reduces slightly.

  5. 5

    Combine with Pasta

Add the cooked bucatini to the skillet, tossing to combine. If the mixture seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, stir in chopped parsley, and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve immediately with additional lemon wedges if desired.
