Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Rinse the tilapia fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Mince the garlic cloves and chop the fresh parsley. Cut the lemon into wedges and set aside.

  2. 2

    Season the Fish

Sprinkle both sides of the tilapia fillets with salt and black pepper to taste.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it's shimmering.

  2. 4

    Cook the Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 5

    Cook the Tilapia

Gently place the seasoned tilapia fillets in the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

  4. 6

    Add the Spice

Sprinkle the red pepper flakes over the fish during the last minute of cooking.

  5. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, remove the tilapia from the skillet and place it on a serving platter. Drizzle the garlic oil over the fish and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
