Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic

Peel and thinly slice the garlic cloves.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tilapia

Rinse the tilapia fillets under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Heat the Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.

  2. 4

    Cook the Garlic

Add the sliced garlic to the hot oil and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown. Be careful not to burn it.

  3. 5

    Add the Tilapia

Carefully place the seasoned tilapia fillets into the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown.

  4. 6

    Flip and Add Spices

Flip the fillets gently and sprinkle the red pepper flakes over them. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

  5. 7

    Finish with Lemon and Parsley

Squeeze the juice of the lemon over the cooked tilapia and sprinkle with chopped parsley just before serving.
