Soak Tamarind
In a bowl, place the tamarind pulp and pour 2 cups of warm water over it. Let it soak for about 20 minutes to soften the pulp.

Extract Tamarind Juice
After soaking, use your hands to squeeze and mash the tamarind pulp in the water to extract the juice. Strain the mixture through a fine sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher, discarding the solids.

Serve Chilled
If desired, add ice cubes to glasses and pour the tamarind drink over the ice. Garnish with mint leaves for added freshness. Serve immediately.
