Base Ingredients

Flavor Options (Choose One)

Method

Preparation of Base

  1. 1

    Combine Water and Sugar

In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of water with 1 cup of granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has completely dissolved.

  2. 2

    Add Citric Acid

Once the sugar has dissolved, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 tsp of citric acid until fully dissolved. This will help add a tart flavor to your soda.

  3. 3

    Incorporate Natural Flavoring

Add 2 tsp of natural flavoring of your choice (like vanilla or a specific fruit essence) to the mixture and stir well to combine.

Finalizing the Soda

  1. 4

    Mix with Juice or Puree

Choose one of the flavor options (lime juice, pineapple juice, mango puree, or strawberry puree) and add 1 cup to the base mixture. Stir well to combine, ensuring the flavor is evenly distributed.

  2. 5

    Add Carbonated Water

Slowly pour in 4 cups of carbonated water to the flavored mixture, stirring gently to avoid losing too much carbonation. Taste and adjust sweetness or flavor if necessary.

  3. 6

    Chill and Serve

Transfer the JARRITOS to a pitcher or individual bottles and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve chilled over ice.
