Preparing the Beef Filling

Cook the Beef
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Season the Beef
Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.

Add Spices
Stir in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the spices are well combined and fragrant.
Assembling the Tacos

Warm the Tortillas
In a separate skillet or microwave, warm the soft tortillas until pliable.

Fill the Tacos
Place a generous portion of the beef mixture onto each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and shredded cheese.

Add Condiments
Finish with a dollop of sour cream and a spoonful of salsa on each taco.

Fold the tortillas over to enclose the filling, serve immediately, and enjoy your delicious beef tacos!
