Steak Marinade

Taco Fillings

Method

Steak Marinade

1

Prepare Marinade

In a bowl, combine olive oil, lime juice, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.

2

Marinate Steak

Add the steak to the marinade, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for maximum flavor.

Grilling the Steak

3

Preheat Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

4

Grill Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade and place it on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until the desired doneness is reached. Use a meat thermometer for precise cooking: 135°F for medium-rare, 145°F for medium.

5

Rest Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

Assembling Tacos

6

Prepare Fillings

While the steak is resting, chop the onion and cilantro.

7

Slice Steak

Slice the grilled steak against the grain into thin strips.

8

Warm Tortillas

Warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side or until pliable.

9

Assemble Tacos

Place a few slices of steak on each tortilla, top with chopped onions and cilantro.
