Onion Rings

Peel the large onions and slice them into thick rings, about 1/2 inch thick. Separate the rings from each other and set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, and beer until smooth. Let the batter rest for about 10 minutes.

Prepare the Sweet Potatoes
Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato strips with olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cinnamon until evenly coated.
