Method

Preparing the Home Fries

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into small cubes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Potatoes

In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes and fry for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Add Onions and Seasoning

Add the chopped onion, salt, and black pepper to the potatoes. Continue cooking for another 10-15 minutes until the potatoes are golden brown and cooked through.

Cooking the Egg

  1. 4

    Cook the Egg

In a separate pan, crack the egg and cook it to your preference (fried, scrambled, or poached) over medium heat.

Making the Toast

  1. 5

    Toast the Bread

While the egg is cooking, toast the slices of bread. Once toasted, spread 1 tablespoon of butter on each slice.

Cooking the Protein

  1. 6

    Cook Your Protein

In another skillet, cook your choice of protein (bacon, sausage, or ham) according to package instructions or until browned and crispy.

Plating the Dish

  1. 7

    Serve and Enjoy

On a plate, arrange the home fries, egg, and the cooked protein alongside the buttered toast. Serve immediately.
