Method
Preparation
- 1
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until thoroughly mixed.
- 2
Mix Wet Ingredients
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until well combined.
Cooking
- 3
Combine Ingredients
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Gently stir with a spatula until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- 4
Preheat the Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease it with a small amount of butter or oil.
- 5
Cook the Pancakes
Using a ladle, pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes.
- 6
Flip the Pancakes
Carefully flip the pancakes and cook until golden brown on the other side, about 1-2 minutes more.
- 7
Serve
Serve the pancakes warm, stacked on plates, with your choice of optional toppings such as maple syrup, fresh berries, or whipped cream.
