Preparing the Pancake Batter

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 0.5 teaspoons of salt. Whisk together until well blended.

- 3
Combine Wet and Dry
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
Cooking the Pancakes
- 4
Preheat the Griddle
Preheat a non-stick griddle or frying pan over medium heat. If necessary, lightly grease the surface with a little melted butter.
- 5
Cook the Pancakes
Pour about 1/4 cup of pancake batter onto the preheated griddle for each pancake. Cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set.
- 6
Flip the Pancakes
Carefully flip the pancakes and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the griddle and keep warm.
Preparing Sausage or Bacon
- 7
Cook the Sausage Links
In a skillet over medium heat, cook 2 sausage links for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until they are browned and cooked through.
Serving the Pancakes
- 8
Plate and Serve
Serve the pancakes warm with the cooked sausage links (or crispy bacon) on the side. Add maple syrup, butter, or fresh fruits as desired.
