Chicken Fingers
Buffalo Sauce (Optional)
Method
Chicken Fingers Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Begin by cutting the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate shallow dishes, place the flour in the first dish, beat the eggs in the second dish, and place the breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in the third dish.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Take each chicken strip, dip it into the flour, shaking off any excess, then into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure each piece is well coated.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- 5
Fry the Chicken Fingers
Carefully add the breaded chicken strips to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Buffalo Sauce Preparation (Optional)
- 6
Melt the Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- 7
Mix in Hot Sauce
Once melted, remove from heat and whisk in the hot sauce, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
- 8
Coat the Chicken Fingers
Once the chicken fingers are cooked, you can toss them in the buffalo sauce to coat them evenly.
