Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Spaghetti

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bolognese Sauce

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion, carrot, and celery; sauté until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.

  3. 3

    Add the Meat

Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon, about 7-10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Tomatoes and Wine

Pour in the canned tomatoes, tomato paste, and red wine. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

  5. 5

    Season the Sauce

Add salt and black pepper. Let the sauce simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

  6. 6

    Finish with Herbs

Stir in the fresh basil and parsley just before serving. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the Bolognese sauce over the spaghetti and top with grated parmesan cheese.
