Method
Marinating the Sablefish
Prepare the marinade
In a bowl, whisk together miso paste, sake, brown sugar, soy sauce, and sesame oil until smooth.
Marinate the fish
Place sablefish fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
Cooking the Sablefish
Preheat the oven
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Roast the fish
Remove the fish from the marinade and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Roast in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Making Wok Fried Rice
Scramble the eggs
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add the eggs and scramble until fully cooked. Remove from the wok and set aside.
Stir-fry the vegetables
Add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil to the wok. Add carrots, peas, and green onions, and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes.
Combine rice and soy sauce
Add the cooked jasmine rice and soy sauce to the wok. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until heated through. Add the scrambled eggs back into the wok and mix well.
