Cooking Directions
- 1
Prepare the Crabs
Begin by rinsing the live blue crabs under cold water to remove any dirt or debris.
- 2
Boil the Water
In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a rolling boil. Add 0.25 cups of salt and 0.5 cups of Old Bay Seasoning to the water.
- 3
Cook the Crabs
Carefully add the cleaned crabs to the boiling water. Cover the pot and cook for about 10-15 minutes or until the crabs turn bright red.
- 4
Prepare the Butter Sauce
In a small saucepan, melt 1 cup of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat.
- 5
Serve
Once the crabs are cooked, drain them and transfer to a serving platter. Serve hot with lemon wedges, garlic butter sauce, and chopped parsley for garnish.
