Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Clams

Rinse the clams under cold water to remove any sand or grit. Discard any clams that are open and do not close when tapped.

  2. 2

    Sauté Garlic

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Clams and Wine

Add the prepared clams to the pot along with the white wine and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.

  4. 4

    Cook the Clams

Cover the pot and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the clams have opened. Discard any clams that remain closed.

  5. 5

    Finish with Lemon and Parsley

Remove the pot from heat. Stir in the lemon juice, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper to taste.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the clams hot with their broth, and enjoy with crusty bread or over pasta if desired.
