Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary on both sides. Let them marinate at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Steak

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the marinated steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Making the Fries

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the russet potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 4

    Soak the Potatoes

Place the cut potatoes into a bowl of cold water and let them soak for at least 30 minutes. This helps to remove excess starch and results in crispier fries.

  3. 5

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Drain and pat dry the soaked potatoes. Fry them in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-6 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 6

    Season the Fries

Immediately sprinkle the hot fries with salt and paprika while they are still hot. Toss to coat evenly.
