Panna Cotta

Method

Panna Cotta Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Gelatin

In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over the cold water and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes to bloom.

  2. 2

    Heat the Cream Mixture

In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream and granulated sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is heated but not boiling.

  3. 3

    Add Vanilla and Gelatin

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Then, add the bloomed gelatin and stir until fully dissolved.

  4. 4

    Pour into Molds

Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or molds. Allow to cool to room temperature.

  5. 5

    Chill

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

Berry Compote Preparation

  1. 6

    Cook the Berries

In a medium saucepan, combine the mixed berries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until the berries release their juices and the mixture begins to bubble.

  2. 7

    Simmer

Reduce heat to low and let simmer for about 10-15 minutes until it thickens slightly.

  3. 8

    Cool Down

Remove from heat and let the compote cool to room temperature before serving.
