Cooking the Salmon

Prepare the Salmon
Season the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Heat the Olive Oil
In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Sear the Salmon
Carefully place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until the skin is crispy.

Flip the Salmon
Using a spatula, gently flip the salmon fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Remove from Skillet
Transfer the cooked salmon to a plate and cover loosely with foil to keep warm.

Prepare the Vegetables
In a separate skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.

Cook the Vegetables
Add the asparagus and sliced carrots, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until tender-crisp.

Transfer the cooked vegetables to a serving plate.

On each plate, place a salmon fillet, drizzle with lemon butter sauce, and arrange the sautéed vegetables on the side.
