Preparation of Topping

Chop the Tomatoes
Dice the Roma tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Prepare the Basil
Chop the fresh basil leaves coarsely and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Add Seasoning
Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl along with the balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything gently to combine.
Prepare the Bread

Slice the Baguette
Cut the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

Toast the Bread
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the sliced baguette on a baking sheet, brush both sides with olive oil, and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown.

Top the Toasts
Once the bread slices are toasted, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Spoon the tomato and basil mixture generously on top of each slice.

Serve the bruschetta immediately as an appetizer or snack, drizzling with additional balsamic vinegar if desired.
