Instructions

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until a smooth dough forms.

  2. 2

    Fry the Buñuelos

In a deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, drop spoonfuls of the dough into the oil. Fry until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Sugar-Cinnamon Mixture

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and ground cinnamon.

  4. 4

    Coat the Buñuelos

While the buñuelos are still warm, toss them in the sugar-cinnamon mixture until well coated.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Chocolate Dipping Sauce

In a saucepan over low heat, combine the chocolate chips and heavy cream. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the buñuelos warm, topped with fresh berries and a side of chocolate dipping sauce.
