Cook the Sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sweet Italian sausage until browned. Remove from the pan and let it cool slightly, then crumble it.

Stuff the Mushrooms
Fill each Portobello cap with the sausage and vegetable mixture. Top generously with Fontina cheese.

Roast the Stuffed Mushrooms
Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and roast in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your delicious Portobello!
