Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Tear the day-old bread into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Pour the wet mixture over the bread pieces, ensuring that all the bread is soaked. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.

  4. 4

    Transfer to Baking Dish

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and pour the bread mixture into it, spreading it evenly.

  5. 5

    Add Croissant Top Layer

Slice croissants in half and arrange them on top of the bread mixture, cut side up.

  6. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 45-50 minutes, or until the pudding is set and the croissants are golden brown.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving warm. Optionally, drizzle with chocolate sauce or serve with whipped cream.
