Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Caramel
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the granulated sugar until it turns into a golden caramel. Be careful not to burn it. Once ready, quickly pour it into a round flan mold or individual ramekins, swirling to coat the bottom. Set aside to cool and harden.

Bake in Water Bath
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the flan mold in a larger baking pan. Fill the baking pan with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the flan mold. Bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until the flan is set but still slightly jiggly in the center.
- 5
Cool and Serve
Once baked, remove from the oven and let it cool in the water bath. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. To serve, run a knife along the edges of the flan, invert onto a serving plate, and enjoy!
