Churro Ingredients

Method

Churro Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, add the flour all at once, stirring rapidly until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Incorporate Eggs

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Pipe the Churros

Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star-shaped tip. Pipe strips of dough (about 4-6 inches long) directly into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Drain and Coat

Remove churros from the oil and drain on paper towels. In a shallow dish, mix sugar and cinnamon together, then roll the hot churros in the mixture to coat.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve warm and enjoy your crispy churros!
