Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Base

In a large skillet or pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and celery. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 2

    Add Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Incorporate Tomatoes and Broth

Stir in the canned diced tomatoes (with their juice), chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, and bay leaves. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

  4. 4

    Simmer the Sauce

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  5. 5

    Add Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the sauce and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the bay leaves and serve the shrimp Creole over cooked white rice. Garnish with sliced green onions.
