Prepare the Base
In a large skillet or pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and celery. Sauté until the vegetables are softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Incorporate Tomatoes and Broth
Stir in the canned diced tomatoes (with their juice), chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, and bay leaves. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Simmer the Sauce
Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Add Shrimp
Add the shrimp to the sauce and cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.

Serve
Remove the bay leaves and serve the shrimp Creole over cooked white rice. Garnish with sliced green onions.
