Method

Blackened Chicken

    Preheat Skillet

    Preheat your skillet over medium-high heat until hot.

    Prepare Spice Mixture

    In a bowl, mix together the cajun spice mix, salt, and black pepper.

    Season Chicken

    Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the chicken breasts.

    Cook Chicken

    Add olive oil to the hot skillet, then carefully place the chicken in the skillet.

    Sear Chicken

    Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until blackened and cooked through.

    Rest Chicken

    Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

    Prepare Potatoes

    Peel and chop the potatoes into chunks.

    Boil Potatoes

    In a large pot, add potatoes, garlic cloves, and enough water to cover them. Boil until potatoes are tender.

    Drain Potatoes

    Drain the potatoes and garlic, then return them to the pot.

    Mash Potatoes

    Add butter, milk, and salt to the potatoes. Mash until creamy and smooth.

Steamed Broccoli

    In a pot, add water and bring to a boil.

    Steam Broccoli

    Add broccoli florets to a steaming basket over the boiling water, cover, and steam for about 5-7 minutes until tender.
