Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well.

Incorporate Butter
Cut the cold butter into small pieces and add it to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add Milk
Pour in the milk and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Shape the Biscuits
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Gently knead it a few times until it comes together. Pat it into a 1-inch thick round. Cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter or a glass.
Baking

Place the cut biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
