Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

  2. 2

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, combine the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and well blended.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  5. 5

    Add Flavor Add-Ins

Fold in your choice of flavor add-ins like mashed banana, nuts, chocolate chips, or blueberries.

Baking

  1. 6

    Pour and Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

  2. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  3. 8

    Cool

Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
