Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar. Whisk together until well combined.

Mixing

  1. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, vanilla extract, and melted coconut oil until smooth.

  2. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Baking

  1. 5

    Add Optional Ingredients

If using, fold in the chocolate chips and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.

  2. 6

    Bake

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  3. 7

    Cool and Serve

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then lift them out using the parchment paper (if used) and let them cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
