Preparation Steps
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). This ensures that your dish will bake evenly.
- 2
Prepare Baking Pan
Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- 3
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of granulated sugar, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, and 0.5 teaspoons of salt. Whisk together until well combined.
- 4
Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together 1 cup of milk, 2 large eggs, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 0.5 cups of melted butter until smooth.
- 5
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
- 6
Add Additional Ingredients
If you are adding any additional ingredients (e.g., chocolate chips, nuts, or fruits), fold them into the batter at this stage.
- 7
Pour into Pan
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
- 8
Bake
Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- 9
Cool and Serve
Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
