Method

For the Lavender Syrup

  1. 1

    Prepare the Lavender Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine the dried lavender buds, sugar, and water.

  2. 2

    Simmer the Mixture

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Once boiling, reduce heat and let simmer for about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Strain the Syrup

Remove from heat and let the syrup cool. Strain through a fine sieve to remove the lavender buds. Store in a jar in the refrigerator.

For the Latte

  1. 4

    Brew the Espresso

Brew one shot of espresso using your preferred method and set aside.

  2. 5

    Steam the Milk

In a small saucepan or using a milk frother, steam 1 cup of milk until hot and frothy.

  3. 6

    Combine Latte Ingredients

In a large cup, combine the brewed espresso, steamed milk, lavender syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir gently to combine.

For the Vanilla Cold Foam

  1. 7

    Whip the Cream

In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, milk, and vanilla extract.

  2. 8

    Create Cold Foam

Using an electric mixer or a frother, whip the mixture until it forms soft peaks, creating a fluffy cold foam.

  3. 9

    Top the Latte

Spoon the vanilla cold foam generously over the lavender latte.
