House agave syrup (house blend)
Garnish & rim
Method
House agave syrup (house blend)
- 1
Combine 2 tablespoons agave nectar and 1 tablespoon hot water in a small container. Stir until smooth and slightly thinned. If using, stir in 1/4 teaspoon fresh lime zest to add brightness. Let cool to room temperature before mixing the cocktail.
Prep & rim
- 2
Salt rim preparation
Place coarse salt on a small plate and spread into an even layer.
- 3
Run a halved lime around the outside rim of a chilled rocks or coupe glass to moisten. Invert the glass and gently press the rim into the salt so it adheres evenly. Set the glass aside.
Cocktail assembly
- 4
Fill a cocktail shaker about halfway with fresh ice.
- 5
Add 2 oz silver tequila, 1 oz fresh lime juice (about one medium lime), 1 oz orange liqueur, and 1/2 oz of the prepared house agave syrup into the shaker.
- 6
Dry shake (no ice) for 10–15 seconds only if you want a slightly frothier texture; otherwise proceed to shake with ice.
- 7
Seal the shaker and shake vigorously with ice for 12–15 seconds until the exterior of the shaker becomes cold and slightly frosted.
- 8
- 9
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately.
