Salad Preparation
- 1
Prepare the salad base
In a large bowl, add the mixed greens. Wash and slice the pear, discarding the core, and add the slices to the greens. Crumble the Gorgonzola cheese over the top.
Spiced Pecans Preparation
- 2
Prepare the spiced pecans
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the pecans, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, salt, and olive oil. Toss until the pecans are well coated. Spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes or until they are golden and fragrant, stirring halfway through. Let cool before adding to the salad.
Vinaigrette Preparation
- 3
Prepare the herb-cane vinaigrette
In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, honey, and fresh herbs until well combined. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Assembly
- 4
Assemble the salad
Drizzle the herb-cane vinaigrette over the prepared salad base. Top with the spiced pecans. Toss gently to combine and serve immediately.
