Make the Dough
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Melt the butter and let it cool slightly. In a separate bowl, combine milk, butter, and egg. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.

Prepare the Filling
In a medium bowl, mix the chopped apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Set aside.

Assemble the Danish
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Cut the rectangle into squares. Place a spoonful of the apple filling in the center of each square. Fold the corners of the square towards the center and pinch to seal.

Place the danishes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
