Method

Preparation Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tuna

Season the tuna steak with salt and pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a bit of oil. Once hot, sear the tuna for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from heat and let it rest, then slice into thin pieces.

  2. 2

    Cook the Green Beans

In a pot of boiling salted water, blanch the green beans for about 3-4 minutes until they are bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and immediately plunge into ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain again and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Hard Boiled Eggs

Place eggs in a pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 10-12 minutes. Transfer to cold water, peel, and slice.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the baby mixed greens, cherry tomatoes (halved), green beans, sliced hard boiled eggs, olives, anchovies, and sliced red onion. Toss gently.

  5. 5

    Dress the Salad

Drizzle the balsamic dressing over the salad and toss lightly to combine. Ensure everything is well coated.

  6. 6

    Serve

Plate the salad and top with the sliced seared tuna. Enjoy your Nicoise salad!
