Warm Chocolate Lava Cake

Method

Warm Chocolate Lava Cake Instructions

1

Prepare the Oven and Ramekins

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Grease four ramekins with butter and dust with cocoa powder to prevent sticking.

2

Melt Chocolate and Butter

In a heatproof bowl, combine dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together using a microwave or a double boiler, stirring until smooth.

3

Mix the Batter

In a separate bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined. Gradually mix in the melted chocolate mixture. Finally, fold in the flour until just combined.

4

Fill Ramekins

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.

5

Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.

6

Cool and Serve

Let the cakes cool for 1 minute before carefully inverting onto plates. Serve immediately with vanilla custard sauce.
