Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine the flank steak, fajita seasoning, lime juice, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Mix well to coat the steak evenly. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the steak is marinating, slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  2. 4

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the sliced bell peppers and onion. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and slightly charred.

  3. 5

    Combine and Serve

Slice the rested steak into thin strips. Return the steak to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables and toss everything together. Serve hot with tortillas and optional toppings like sour cream, guacamole, shredded cheese, and fresh cilantro.
