Method
Preparation of Chicken and Mushrooms
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
In a bowl, combine chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Ensure the chicken is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Grill the Chicken
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the marinated chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and juices run clear. Remove from heat and let rest.
- 3
Sauté the Mushrooms
In a skillet, add a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 5-6 minutes until golden brown. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
Preparation of White Sauce
- 4
- 5
Add Milk
Gradually add the milk to the roux while whisking continuously to prevent lumps. Continue to cook and stir until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
- 6
Finish the Sauce
Stir in the minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. Remove from heat.
